This curved belt is designed to maximize surface area on your hips and prevent hard edges from digging in to your body.

Your body shape can be different , but that does not change the principle how toolbelt works. Your soft tissue is soft and can be compressed without discomfort (try pushing on your belly with a finger, you can push it 1" or 2" without feeling anything). Once you put on a a belt and tighten it, it should compress your soft tissue until it gets good bearing on your hipbones (the only hard place where you can hang your belt). This is why curved shape of belt is needed, it has to wrap around on top of your hips and maximize surface area on them, to prevent any hard spots. If you put straight belt above your hips, it becomes held by friction but it only can hold certain amount of weight, then it starts sliding down until bottom edge reaches your hipbones and due too poor surface/weight ratio it will start digging in to your body.

LINER - belts can be lined in different materials, NATURAL SHEEP WOOL, 3D MESH, FULL CORDURA

Natural sheep wool felt provides soft, yet sturdy surface for belt to increase comfort. Wool felt is breathable material does not absorb sweat and has natural anti-bacterial properties, which means no crazy smell or odour even after long use. Woolf felt does not break down like synthetic foams, therefore is not going to loose its comfort with use.

3D mesh is pretty standart material in outdoor gear and works well in hot conditions

CHOOSING CORRECT BELT SIZE. Before ordering belt, measure your waist around hips or where you want your belt to stay wearing minimal amount of layers with a string, piece of rope or seamstress tape measure. I recommend choosing belt size 4"-6" 10-15 cm smaller than your waist measurement to prevent it causing discomfort on your stomach when bending. Belt sizes show padded belt length, actual webbing belt is longer and is easily adjustable.
